i recently spent four nights at this great hotel. the room was excellent. it featured modern decor and quiet atmosphere. breakfasts at straits kitchen impressed me greatly. i especially liked the convenient location near the underground.
i noticed there weren't enough loungers near the pool. there were only five chairs in that area. it seemed like a misallocation of space.

during checkout, i faced confusion regarding an unannounced 'discretionary' service fee for housekeeping. it took about ten minutes for the staff to explain the charge. a detailed, itemized bill could have resolved the issue promptly.

the staff accommodated my late check-in request due to traffic. they escorted me to the pool, allowing me to use it for half an hour. i also appreciated that i could still use amenities after checkout. the drawing room on the wellness floor was quite pleasant.
the straits kitchen was not great for me as a vegetarian. the options were limited, and there were mistakes with my order.

the staff had great attitudes from the doorman to the cleaning staff. they were all happy and smiling. they were happy to have a conversation with you. the service from everyone was excellent. they showed kindness and friendliness.
i found the breakfast experience very disappointing. it was well below my expectations. i arrived after 10:00, though breakfast was served until 11:00. i did not get seated until around 10:45. i had to settle for a few buffet items and coffee.

the bedside analog clock in my room was inaccurate.
